Manuscript Critique
Initial Manuscript Critique: Substantive critique of up to 10,000 words; an evaluation of your synopsis; an overall assessment of your project and its potential.
Full Substantive Critique:
Review of your entire manuscript, offering comments and suggestions throughout.
Fiction Critique: Assessment of flow and pacing, plot and character development, plot holes and inconsistencies, setting, theme analysis, and more.
Nonfiction Critique: Assessment of organization and flow, readability, writing style, takeaway, etc.
Editing and Proofreading Services
Developmental (Substantive) Editing:
Tightening and clarifying prose, reorganizing material, reworking unclear sentences; suggestions on inconsistencies, plot holes, pacing, flow, and more.
Line Editing:
Line-by-line editing that focuses on syntax and word choice, tightening of prose, clarifying meaning, and strengthening content overall.
Proofreading:
A final review of a finished manuscript for typos, grammatical errors, without changing content.

Writing Coach/Project Mentoring
Working on your first manuscript? I offer project mentorship and coaching.
Project Mentoring:
A review of up to 5,000 words of your work in progress (fiction or nonfiction), followed by a written appraisal of your writing and a mentoring session via Zoom or phone, discussing your concerns and goals, and suggestions for improvement. Mentoring continues with further discussions, editing, and assessments as needed.
Writing Coach:
Looking for guidance in developing your voice? Improving your grammar? Figuring out what genre you should write? As a writing coach, I can assist you in whatever area(s) of writing you hope to improve via reviews of material, editing, phone or Zoom sessions, and more.
